The Privacy Drive with Portable Vault software is designed to encrypt data on your USB 2.0 Flash Drive so that it will not be useable or accessible to anyone without the proper access password.The Portable Vault software is extremely easy to use. Once you enter your password, you will have the ability to add and remove files and folders from the vault. Files that are added will be protected using 256 bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption. This flash drive works excellent but I was dismayed to find out that I had to spend an additional $9.95 to get the software key to open up the privacy vault from 200KB to the full 8 MB.
