This USB is very fast. I transferred 6 gigs of music to it very quick. This is just as fast as a name brand USB stick I had in the past that was horribly expensive...in fact I think this one is even faster. I need speed because I am using it for audio in my car mp3 player and I don't want any lagging when browsing through the songs. This turned out to be an excellent value!
